For Swim coaches using the EyeCoach

Sanyo Xacti CA9

Sanyo Xacti CA 100

Both of these waterproof cameras have a flip out display you can aim up at you as you film. As a coach this is really great to have. The price of the CA 100 might well be worth it since the CA9 is recommended only to five feet and the CA 100 is double that and full 1080p HD.

If you’re on a budget the Kodak Playsport is outstanding for the EyeCoach, you just have to do some practice runs and a little guessing. Maybe have your swimmers out n the third lane when walking  down the side. And check each lap or so to make sure they are in frame.

For Everyone

Totally coincidentally, there is a card you can get that allows wireless transfer (only when out of the water) from these cameras to your computer. The manufacturer says it’s perfect for pictures and slow for video. But that will get better over time.

An extra battery -- You can get them for really cheap -- less than $20.

Memory cards.  Both the Kodak and Sanyo take cards that allow full HD video for four hours!

Kodak Playsport

Any waterproof 1080p camera is probably fine, but for the price we recommend the Playsport until something better comes our way. It comes with an HDMI cable as well as a USB cable so it’s a great deal for the money.
