The Pool-Mate -- Swimming Computer
The Pool-Mate gives you information you can’t get from any other watch
• Automatically Counts laps on each turn
• Gives you total meters/yards
• Calculates calories
• Tracks total time, speed per lap, set, etc.
• Counts strokes per lap
• Gives you your average speed
• Gives you your average efficiency
• It can do all this for the whole workout as well as for each individual set! Wow.
The Pool-Mate is the only fully automatic Swimming Computer. Simply press the Start button and begin to swim.
No forgetting your lap count!
No pressing buttons at the end of each lap!
Containing accurate motion sensors and our unique software algorithms, the Pool-Mate automatically recognizes swim strokes and laps so you don't have to count anymore.
From recreational lap swimmer to professional Olympian, the Pool-Mate can help your training. Leaving the lap counting to the Pool-Mate lets you concentrate on your swimming.
As well as lap counting the Pool-Mate will do much more. It will display and store Session Time, Average Strokes per lap, Speed, Distance, Calories and Efficiency.
In addition to the statistics for the overall session it will record the same data for each individual set so you can see how all these metrics change through a swim session. You can even time your rest periods between sets. All data is stored in a large memory for review during or after a swim session. The Pool-Mate is available in two color options - grey/blue (as pictured) or black/blue, for just $115 plus postage and packing.

For the technically minded: The streamlined looking watch features a MEMS accelerometer that detects the motion of your wrist during a swim stroke, and using “advanced digital signal processing techniques and software algorithms” the watch is able to calculate both your number of strokes and your number of laps. And it’s compatible with a wide range of swimming techniques including the front crawl, the back crawl, the breaststroke and the butterfly in pools over 10 meters in length.
